Everglades Bookkeeping LLC (“Everglades Bookkeeping,” “we,” “us”) is a Florida-based bookkeeping firm serving clients nationwide. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and in the course of providing bookkeeping services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a free bookkeeping review or contact us, we collect the details you submit — typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, and any notes you choose to include.

Client financial information. When you become a client, we handle the records needed to keep your books: bank and credit card transactions, statements, invoices, receipts, and read-only or limited access to accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online. We collect only what is necessary to perform the bookkeeping work you have engaged us for.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server and security logs, which may include IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you visit. This information is used to keep the site running and secure.

3. How we use information

4. We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We do not use client financial data to train third-party artificial intelligence systems.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only where it is necessary to do the work or where the law requires it:

• Service providers. Accounting and document platforms (for example, QuickBooks Online), email, and web hosting providers that process information on our behalf.
• Your professionals. Your CPA, tax preparer, lender, or other advisors — only when you ask us to, or when your engagement contemplates it.
• Legal requirements. When we are required to disclose information by law, subpoena, or a government authority.

6. Confidentiality and security

Client financial information is treated as confidential. We use reputable platforms, access controls, and secure transmission methods appropriate to the sensitivity of the records we handle, and we request the minimum level of account access needed to do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. How long we keep information

We retain client records for as long as your engagement is active and afterward for the period required by applicable tax, professional, and legal recordkeeping obligations. Inquiry information from prospective clients is kept only as long as it is useful for following up.

8. Cookies, analytics, and third-party requests

This site is built as a set of static pages and does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If analytics are added in the future to understand general site usage, this policy will be updated to say so.

We also serve our typefaces from this website rather than from a font network. That is a deliberate choice: loading a webfont from a third party would send your IP address and browser details to that company on every page you open, before you had agreed to anything. Nothing on these pages loads from another company’s servers, so no third party learns you visited.

9. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing [email protected]. Some records must be retained to meet legal and professional obligations. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

10. Children

Our services are for businesses. This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always show the current version.
