Terms of Service
The ground rules for working together — what we do, what we don’t, and how billing works.
Effective August 27, 2026 · Last updated August 27, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of this website and, together with any written engagement or proposal we send you, your relationship with Everglades Bookkeeping LLC. If your signed engagement says something different from these terms, the engagement controls.
2. What we do
We provide monthly bookkeeping, cleanup and catch-up work, and QuickBooks management for marketing agencies, freelancers, and AI agency owners. Client accounts are serviced weekly, with full bank and credit card reconciliations every month and monthly financial reports.
3. What we do not do
We stay in our lane. We do not provide fractional CFO services, tax preparation or filing, payroll processing, accounts payable or receivable, or accrual accounting. We are not a CPA firm, and nothing we provide is tax, legal, audit, or investment advice. If you need those services, we will point you to someone good.
4. Your responsibilities
Accurate books depend on accurate inputs. You agree to give us complete and truthful records, timely access to the accounts we need, and prompt answers to our questions about transactions we cannot classify on our own. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for reviewing the reports we deliver, and for your own tax filings and compliance obligations.
5. Fees and billing
We quote flat monthly pricing after your free bookkeeping review. There is no hourly billing and no surprise invoices. Fees are billed monthly in advance unless your engagement says otherwise. Cleanup and catch-up work covering prior periods is quoted separately before it begins.
6. Term and cancellation
Engagements run month to month unless agreed otherwise. Either of us may end the engagement with written notice as set out in your engagement letter. On termination, we will complete work through the paid period and provide your records and files in a standard, portable format.
7. Confidentiality
We treat your financial information as confidential and handle it as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not disclose it except to carry out the work, at your direction, or where the law requires.
8. Third-party platforms
Our work relies on third-party software and financial institutions, including QuickBooks Online and your banks. We are not responsible for outages, errors, data loss, or pricing changes originating with those providers, and their own terms govern your use of them.
9. No guarantee of outcomes
We take care to produce clean, CPA-ready books, but we do not guarantee any particular tax result, financing outcome, or business result. Reviews and results described on this site reflect the experience of specific clients and are not a promise of the same outcome for you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Website content
The content, design, logo, and text on this site belong to Everglades Bookkeeping LLC and may not be copied or reused without permission. Information on this site is provided for general purposes and may change without notice.
12. Website and AI disclosure
This website was designed and built with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools, and its text has been reviewed by us before publication. Your bookkeeping is not. The work you engage us for — categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, and reviewing your monthly reports — is done and checked by Kristian Barnett personally, and every message you send gets a human reply.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
14. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always show the current version.
